The Taiwan Society of International Classification of Functioning (ICF), Disability and Health (TSICF) was established in 2010…
From their website: "After the approval of the People with Disabilities Rights Protection in 2007, Taiwan has been the first country to have the disability evaluation system (DES) on the basis of ICF framework since the year of 2012. The Taiwan Society of International Classification of Functioning (ICF), Disability and Health (TSICF) was established in 2010 to promote the implementation of the DES, translation of the research of the ICF into application, and promote social participation of people with disabilities.
"The TSICF has been established for 7 years with significant progress. Apart from assisting the DES on July 11 in the year of 2012 under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the TSICF also involved in developing the Functioning Scale of the Disability Evaluation System (FUNDES), setting-up the educational trainings for the DES, building the database of certified professionals on the DES, and promoting the community application of the DES.
"Each year the TSICF holds the academic conference at the annual meeting. Delegates in the medical and social welfare fields, delegates of people with disabilities, and government delegates are invited to join these meetings. We have been making good progress on both the collaboration between governments and researchers and the promotion of the system under the ICF framework."
