Talk on Caring Activism
Barony Bar, Strathclyde University Students Union, 1 pm
Showing how citizens can take power with each other to support vulnerable people in a crisis – e.g. a teenager leaving a care home with no family or job, an elderly person moving in and out of hospital or a family with a disabled child suffering isolation. Caring Activist teams catch people who are falling through the safety nets.
Caring Activism: A 21st century concept of care by Peter Limbrick and edited by Professor Hilton Davis will be on sale at the talk at the special price for the day of just £5.00.
