5Rights Foundation launches a new report 'Disrupted Childhood: the Cost of Persuasive Design'

Disrupted Childhood: the Cost of Persuasive Design looks at the question of persuasive design in the technology sector from the point of view of children.

The report makes 24 recommendations. It calls on the technology industry to make seismic changes to the design of products and services in order to meet the needs of children.

And on government to add ‘compulsive use’ to its list of harms, so that it becomes an urgent priority across all departments.

We hope that you find the report useful, and salute the work of all who work to allow children to access the digital environment creatively, knowledgeably and fearlessly.
